Orthopaedic Physiotherapy

Orthopaedic physiotherapy addresses muscle imbalances, joint dysfunction, pain and injuries. We assess and treat injuries and conditions that involve the skeleton (bones), muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

Treatments include manual therapy, soft tissue release, acupuncture, stretches and strength exercises. We design a treatment plan around your goals and needs.

Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy

Pelvic health physiotherapy is a specialized area of physiotherapy focusing on the rehabilitation of the muscles in the pelvic floor after injury or dysfunction. It includes treatment of incontinence, pelvic pain, back pain, painful sex, preparation for birth, recovery after giving birth, support during the menopause transition.

Pelvic health physiotherapy includes support to women who are pregnant or postpartum. In pregnancy, we help to keep you active and strong during your pregnancy as well as preparing you for birth. In the postpartum period, we work to achieve optimal healing as well as supporting you back into the activities that you love to do. If you are interested in postpartum strength classes, please check out the small group classes section.

Small Group Classes

Small group classes are designed to support you during the transitional phases of your life by getting back into activity, or by helping you start your fitness journey. These classes help build your confidence by adding in progressive exercises that are supervised by a physiotherapist in a group setting.

The Postpartum small group physiotherapy classes provide support to new mothers, to help you build strength and have fun in a group setting. These classes are designed to help with healing and restoring function to your core and pelvic floor.

The menopause class focuses upon education and movement to support you through this transitional period.

Take your rehab to the next level with a progressive and engaging class focusing on building strength and confidence in moving again.

Running Rehab and Gait Analysis

Running injuries can be a challenge for any runner. Having the right support team can make a huge difference during your training season. After a thorough assessment, we will create a plan to keep you moving and reach your goals.

Gait analysis is one of the best ways to help prevent running related injuries. Using video analysis, we can break down the skill of running, work with your own body mechanics and help you run more efficiently while preventing injuries. Working with a physiotherapist that treats running related injuries will not only help you get back to running sooner, but will also work with you to keep you running during your rehabilitation process.

Menopause Support

Peri-menopause and beyond can be an overwhelming transition, and deserves more acknowledgement for women during this stage of life. Working with a pelvic floor physiotherapist is a great place to start to help you learn more about what you’re going through, and what we can do about it. We can help you manage your menopause symptoms, including fatigue, stress, incontinence, vaginal changes, joint pain and other symptoms through education, exercise and mindfulness. Using a holistic approach, we can develop a treatment plan that works for you and get you feeling your best!
